Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef, divided into 4 equal portions
  • 4oz Lump Crab Meat
  • 4 Slices of Colby Jack Cheese
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1/4 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 1/2 cups Shredded Cheese
  • 2 tbsp Butter

Instructions:

  • Divide the ground beef into four equal portions.
  • Take each portion and shape it into a ball using your hands.
  • Preheat a skillet or griddle over high heat until it’s very hot.
  • Place one balled-up beef patty on the hot cooking surface and immediately use a heavy spatula to smash it down firmly. This creates a thin and crispy crust.
  • Repeat with the other two balled-up beef patties.
  • Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the patties are cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  • In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of your favorite cheese on each patty to melt.
  • Prepare Cheese Sauce: In a small saucepan, combine milk, heavy cream, shredded cheese, and butter. Stir constantly over low heat until the cheese is melted, and the sauce reaches your desired thickness. This is your cheese sauce for the nachos.
  • Stack the four patties on top of each other.
  • Cover the stack with a layer of cheese sauce
  • Place half the crab meat on top
  • Drizzle a layer of cheese sauce over the top
  • Place the remaining crab meat on top
